Blueprints

Instructions: Create a blueprint of our classroom or another classroom of your choosing using measuring tapes. Use the following guidelines:

  • Draw your blueprint on a blank piece of paper provided to you

  • Write the precise measurements of the dimensions of each wall and significant furniture on the blue print

  • You should measure the walls, tables, shelves, white boards, bulletin boards, and windows and then record these measurements on your drawing.

Resources: You will receive a blank piece of paper as well as a tape measure. Be sure to ask if you would like help drawing your blueprint

Instructions:

  • Create a 5 question survey over a topic of your choice using Google Forms. The survey will be given to all students during lunch.

  • Then you will use Google Slides to collect the data and create pie-chart graphs.

  • Lastly, write 1 paragraph explaining the results of your survey.

Baking Grocery List

Instructions: We need to raise money for new technology equipment at school... Let's have a bake sale! You will create a grocery list using the recipe and information provided. There is also an opportunity for bonus points ;)

Mondrian art

Instructions: Research, analyze, and create your own Mondrian Art display. You will read a brief history and explanation of Mondrian Art, determine the colored fractional part of two examples, and create your own Mondrian Art to display.

  • 10 x 10 Grid

  • Rough Draft

You will create your final displayed Mondrian Art using poster paper. You are also welcome to use any other supplies you would like!

Probability vs. odds

Instructions: Research the difference between probability vs. odds and how you represent each with a fraction. Then create an informative poster including:

  • Explanations/Definitions

  • Examples

  • Visual Representation

Then you will either create a short video or give a short presentation to the class.

How to Submit:

Poster - Once completed, hang up on walls in Classroom. Be sure your name is on the poster somewhere

Video - email the video to Mrs. Dunning

Presentation - Schedule a time with Mrs. Dunning to give the presentation to the class.
